Durham College

Durham College is located in Oshawa, a city on the shores of Lake Ontario, one of Canada’s Great Lakes, and just one hour outside of Toronto. The college features two campuses, state-of-the-art facilities, and instructors who are industry experts. Offering a wide variety of programs, Durham College is dedicated to preparing students for success beyond the classroom. The college provides numerous pathway programs into universities and comprehensive support to ensure that students who choose not to pursue further education are employable and ready to enter the workforce.

Student Life

Durham College offers affordable and safe residences, ranging from $4,000 to $9,000, which include lounge and TV rooms. The campus also has several study spaces that students can book to work with their peers. Facilities on campus include a large triple gym, a fitness center, a library, and an indoor golf range. Additionally, Durham College boasts an e-sports center where students can play for $3.75 per hour or $10 for three hours. There are varsity teams, including an e-sports team, and numerous other opportunities for students to get involved.

Employability and University Pathways

Durham College focuses on helping students become employable after graduation, with support available at the career development center. Many students attend Durham College before transferring to a university, benefiting from more affordable tuition, upgrading opportunities with less strict admission requirements, and an easier transition into Canadian education. Expenses and Financial Aid

Undergraduate programs are typically around CAD 7,000 CAD to CAD 8,500 per semester for international students, including fees (for a regular course load). Students can use the cost calculator here as well.

On-campus residence is typically between CAD 4,000 and CAD 9,000 per academic year (two semesters).

Meal plans range in price, though the full meal plan (seven days a week, unlimited, with some spending cash as well) is CAD 5,830 per semester.
