Since its inception, the university has maintained a relationship with the Methodist (now United Methodist) Church, supporting scholarships, leadership, and service opportunities within both the community and the Church.
The university's three primary objectives in working with students are to impart knowledge, develop essential student capabilities, and integrate education within a values-based framework.
Ohio Wesleyan has students from 42 states and U.S. territories. Additionally, international and U.S. multicultural students from 32 countries comprise 28% of the total student population.
Academics
The university provides a diverse array of over 70 undergraduate majors, including Business Administration, Education, International Studies, Pre-Nursing, and Computer Science.
For graduate studies, the university has established partnerships with leading universities nationwide as part of the Regional Education Partners Scholarship program.
