Top Three Reasons to Study at University of the Fraser Valley

Founded as Fraser Valley College on April 4, 1974, the University of the Fraser Valley has gone through changes and growth for more than 40 years. As a fully accredited and public university, UFV has campuses and locations in Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Mission, Hope, Agassiz, and a growing presence in Chandigarh, India.
Below are the top three reasons why you should consider getting your international education at UFV.
1) You will learn from a top-rated education institution
UFV is rated as one of the top universities in British Columbia, Canada. According to the 2016 Baccalaureate Graduate Survey, 96% of UFV degree graduates are satisfied or very satisfied with their education. A similar result is also shown by the 2015 Canadian University Survey Consortium – Graduating University Student Survey reports. 96% of UFV graduates are satisfied or very satisfied with the overall quality of education. For both domestic and international students, UFV is a desirable university to study.
2) You will have a solid path for your career
UFV encourages students to try out the different possibilities of their lives. During their study at UFV, students can land an on-campus, part-time job to test their career interests. Eligible students (full-time students and more than six months of study) may choose to go for an off-campus part-time job, which might contribute to students’ future careers. For students enrolled in UFV’s Co-op education programs, paid work terms will be available to them to develop their networks and apply their knowledge to a real work environment.
Thanks to the job-related assistance offered by UFV’s Career Centre and the useful internal job bank, CareerLink, UFV students and graduates saw a high employment rate in recent years. According to the Bachelor’s Degree Survey (BGS), for example, Health programs and Engineering programs have had the highest employment rates, with each of the programs experiencing several years of 100% employment. The employment rate in Business and Management programs has increased from 81 to 93% over the past five years.

UFV offers various ways for students to get fully involved in their university life. The Global Lounge Hub is a place for students to hang out and meet new friends. Activities like Virtual Game Night and Language Exchange will also be held there. Friends Without Borders (FWB) program is designed for building social and cultural connections between students from different cultures.
