Beautiful Campuses

Camosun College has two beautiful campuses. The historical Lansdowne campus sits high on the corner of Lansdowne and Foul Bay Roads, offering spectacular clear-day views of Victoria and the Olympic Mountains. Interurban Campus rests in a rural Saanich setting, only a short 15-minute drive from downtown.

Flexible Transfer System

Camosun offers over 300 transferable courses in over 30 different subject areas, so students can mix and match their credit courses to create an educational plan that is right for them. The University Transfer program provided by Camosun College gives students the freedom to design their timetable. Generally speaking, students will probably start by taking 100-level courses (first year) and will follow up with corresponding 200-level (second year) courses.

Work Integrated Learning

Over 90% of the programs offered by Camosun provide students the possibility to engage in a Work Integrated Learning (WIL) experience. The WIL opportunities are offered in various forms, including co-ops, internships, practicums, and strategic volunteering. Students will be able to elevate their skills and facilitate their transition into the job market after graduation.

  • Co-op Education: Students will need to complete at least two work terms (minimum 420 hours each) to graduate with a “Co-op Education” designation. The Co-op education will alternate between full-time studies and full-time paid work with one or more employers.
  • Internship: Students will need to complete at least one work term (minimum 300 hours) to graduate with an “Internship” designation. The internship may be paid or unpaid.
  • Practicum: Students will need to complete a specific number of supervised practice hours per week (unpaid) to fulfill the practicum requirements for their program. The practicum may be paid or unpaid.
  • Strategic Volunteering: By attending the volunteer program, students can engage with the local community in a meaningful way, contributing their time and energies to a worthy cause while enhancing their knowledge and skills, and expanding their network.

Practical and High-quality Education

The province of British Columbia (BC) provides students with a globally recognized seal of quality for post-secondary education – the Education Quality Assurance (EQA) designation, which Camosun is proud to have. Camosun College focuses on teaching practical skills in small classes (30-40 students). Most programs provide the opportunity to gain real work experience through a co-op, internship, or practicum. Camosun's programs are constantly monitored to ensure they are relevant for today's jobs.
